StoryCorps’ Information Technology department is a small and committed team up of professional person* who work very closely with all departments in our organization. The Information Technology Web Development Internship program will help in updating and editing out content for StoryCorps.org, uploading videos and media to sites like YouTube and Vimeo, compiling social media and web traffic statistics, and assisting in other web-related projects as necessary.
Duties & Responsibilities

Projects may include, but will not be limited to:

    Write custom HTML, PHP, JavaScript for existing web applications.
    Assist in troubleshooting issues on web-based systems.
    Back up web-based systems and test disaster recovery scenarios.
    Assist in migrating data, websites and servers.
    Provide technical support related to web-based systems.
    Provide full general tech back up because other IT-related issues as required.

Ideal Candidate

We are searching person with substantial computer skills, very strong interest, and a passion to learn for IT Internship Program. Some experience with WordPress, HTML, and CSS is required. Familiarity with PHP, JavaScript, jQuery and Apple Macs is preferred simply not essential. Must have ability to work independently as needed.
